Hello, all.

Somehow, in all the craziness of the past few years, I was able to sneak some funds into a Folgers coffee can. Dollar by dollar. Tip by tip.

And before that, Laurie, my beautiful partner in crime, had been socking some of her Red Molly money into that can :)

We took the can to the bankers and underwriters, who weighed it on their corporate scales, and looked us up and down and sideways. Who are these two raggedy musicians? They hemmed and hawed and haggled, putting us through a soap opera’s worth of drama. But, finally, some decimal point or comma was nudged into place, and on Friday we were handed a very shiny set of new keys. They opened the door to the rest of our lives. Friday night featured a mattress on the floor :)

We hired a handful of UVA fraternity brothers, roared up the truck, and moved our lives to the beautiful little hamlet of Crozet, VA, just outside of Charlottesville. We have coffee, ice cream, peaches, pizza, burgers and spirits, a library, a post office and a hardware store within a stone's throw. From the top deck, we have a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s all pretty damn glorious.

We can also see the rooftops of our quiet neighbors—who may be wondering what kind of riffraff has come their way. Guitars and amps and keyboards. And yup, banjos.

Now, where do we put everything?

We are so grateful to all of you for the support. Watching the livestreams, tipping, joining me at my virtual home on Patreon. It not only kept us alive, it pulled us into something better. I am eternally grateful for music and for you, once again.
