Dragonflies Racing and Chameleons Protesting in D=2EC=2E For Change!

The new album, THE DRAGONFLY RACES is almost finished! It's a family album produced by the mad genius from Ireland, Flynn=2E Flynn's inventive production helps to create a three dimensional world for the characters to live in=2E  We are calling it a family record because it's designed to have something for all ages of children and adults alike=2E I am so excited that Antje Duvekot lent her beautiful voice on a few of the songs; she also helped write one of the songs which came out really special=2E

Ive been performing some of these songs at my shows to enthusiastic adults, The Million Chameleon March, about a protest march on Washington DC by a million chameleons (who are demanding change) and The Dragonfly Races, which is about a dragonfly's reluctant participation in a midnight race across the forest=2E These songs were designed with a real sense of place and belonging for the characters within them and also for listeners=2E Hopefully, with enough passes, the songs will encourage people to take better care of each other and our surroundings=2E



I am also creating the illustrations for the album, which is a first for me and a real learning curve with paint! But I love every minute of it! I will reveal some of my pictures soon; Im pretty excited about them=2E



Only a few children's shows have been lined up for the fall, but I plan on doing more next year=2E In the meantime I will be featuring a handful of the songs at the clubs and coffeehouses at night=2E  Keep a look out on my website for the ability to place advance orders=2E



Ill be at Club Passim in Cambridge, MA this Thursday, Sept 6th to help Flynn celebrate the release of his new album The Answers Not Enough=2E Its a great album, check out some of the songs at http://www=2Emyspace=2Ecom/flynnmusic=2E I am going to be there with bells a ringing!

My summer has been filled with great festivals, teaching aspiring songwriters, meeting and playing with talented musicians, and making new friends=2E I am looking forward to a falls worth of shows in my New England home and beyond while presenting the new cd, and doing the occasional family show to introduce people to the songs=2E
