Hello, me beauties—

I’m freshly home from the Swannanoa Gathering, where I taught songwriting for a week, and it never gets old. We all have corners of our lives we can happily wax on about—our children, our hobbies, and, if we’re lucky, our work.

I love songwriting. I love its history, its personalities, and its process. And I love teaching the craft.

That’s why I created The New England Songwriters Retreat in Chester, Connecticut. It’s a chance to immerse yourself in the art form and be mentored by a group of master songwriters with decades of experience as commercial writers, touring performers, and music business professionals.

The retreat is held at a beautiful retreat center with a cozy bed-and-breakfast atmosphere and a wonderful chef who prepares delicious, accommodating meals. From 8 a.m. until the wee hours of the morning, we’ll help you tap into your creative center—whether you’ve never written a song or you’re a professional touring artist looking for a creative reboot. We get ’em all, and we serve ’em all!

THE BOOK!

I’ve finished the first two drafts of my new novel, The Last Song Mankind Wrote. It’s a multimedia novel featuring audio recordings, original songs, and journal entries. It won’t be released until next year.

It’s… a lot.

Drawings. Music. Recordings.

It may be the best thing I’ve ever done. Or the craziest.

That’s in the eye of the beholder.

What I do know is that it’s exciting, new, demanding, and deeply challenging.

So I need to conquer it.
