This special Old Vienna Reunion Concert revives that spirit with an all-star lineup of artists who were part of the club’s storied history and musical legacy. Featuring performances by Ellis Paul, Steve Moore (Attention Shoppers), Kerri Powers, Ryk McIntyre, Carl Hakansson, Seth Connelly, Tom Burris (Jabbering Trout), and Kemp Harris & Adam Oh. The night will also include a heartfelt Tribute to Mike Duffy, with Ron Carlson, Walter Crockett, Don White, and Mark Nicholas sharing stories and songs in his memory. Expect some surprises, and the lineup is subject to change.
From 1984 to 1996, The Old Vienna Kaffeehaus in Westborough, Massachusetts, was more than just a room above a restaurant — it was a heartbeat for the folk and acoustic music scene in MetroWest. With just 125 seats and a soul that filled far more, the Kaffeehaus hosted legends, nurtured newcomers, and built a fiercely loyal community that stretched from Boston to Worcester and beyond.
This event is part of the OVK Legacy Project, a program of Touchable Stories Inc. (a 501c3 nonprofit) dedicated to preserving, documenting, and reigniting the creative community born at The Old Vienna Kaffeehaus. The project produces live events to reconnect artists and audiences, while collecting and curating recordings, stories, and memorabilia from a time when music spread person to person, stage to stage — before the internet, before streaming, before social media. The ultimate vision: a comprehensive documentary that explores the 1990s creative scene in Massachusetts and honors the musicians, poets, and behind-the-scenes heroes who made it thrive.
