Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I have so much to be thankful for, my family, friends, business partners and an audience that keeps on showing up in full force! Many thanks to you all.

I can't tell you how eager I am to finally have the new cd out to the public. It's going to be a great year.

Someone named Bob Dylan beat me by less than ten votes in WUMB's list of the top 100 Folk singers for 2009.(Is there no JUSTICE!) But I did manage to slip by a few other greats, Joni Mitchell, Woody, Pete, and Springsteen.

Of course, the whole folk Olympics thing is ridiculous. Just a mention in the long list of musicians who do this is an honor plenty. But the cool thing is, this is a reminder for me, I am at a point in my career where artist's turn on auto pilot and so do listeners (who needs another Ellis Paul record?!) It's humbling for me, the idea that my songs matter to people enough to put in the effort and help get my name mentioned beside my heroes. I'm working my ass off to be the artist that qualifies for that kind of placement in the music world. The whole thing has put wind in my sails going into next year! So thank you!

The Boston Music Awards deadline is coming up as well and I'm up for my fourteenth! This time for folk artist of the year. If I play this right, (because Aerosmith is on the rocks.) we might be able to catch them for most awards by an act. That would be ridiculous. I love the ridiculous.VOTE NOW,VOTE OFTEN!

These awards bolster the upcoming press for the new cd! "The Day After Everything Changed" will be released exclusively for digital downloads on Amazon on Dec 15th and to the world and BEYOND January 12th. (I wrote that in the stadium announcer voice in my head-- echo, echo, echo.... need to slow the caffeine intake)

God bless you all on this Thanksgiving. Though we kill turkeys to celebrate, it's a great time to give love to all the other creatures in our lives. (except pigs, if ham's your thing).
