Hi Everyone!

Ellis was *on* tonight along with Don and Rad. Jen will give you the narrative (because she is *way* better with words than I am!) but I will post the setlist:

1) Summertime (Solo)
2) Holy Ghost (Solo)
3) Maria's Beautiful Mess (W/ Rad and Don)
4) Alice's Champagne Palace (W/ Rad and Don)
5) Take All the Sky you Need (W/ Rad and Don)
6) Jukebox on My Grave (W/ Rad and Don)
7) 3 Thousand Miles (W/ Rad and Don)
8) Road Trip (W/ Rad and Don)
9) Black Top Train (W/ Rad and Don)
10) Million Chameleon March (Solo)
11) Home (Solo)
12) The World Ain't Slowing Down (W/ Rad and Don)
13) The Wabi-Sabi Song (W/ Rad and Don)
14) The Day After Everything Changed (Solo)
15) This Land Is Your Land (W/ Rad and Don)
16) Little Wood Guitar (Solo) (Sorry if I've got the name wrong!!)

Jen will correct me if I got anything wrong. I saw her taking notes too!

Hope everyone is well.

:-)

Hi Shari

Thanks for last night's setlist from Joe's Pub. I was wondering just this morning if Rad and Don had flown in for just one show in Boston.

Now I know.... :D .......Looking forward to Jen's report.

Folks,

Here's a blog report of the show:

Ellis Paul at Joe's Pub

KarenZ
"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Ha!!!
I just read that blog, and at the very end it made me LAUGH, as poor Monica R's brother must not realize there were two of us by that name at the show that night who know Ellis. My dear brother by the way (who I've been trying to get to an Ellis show for ages) is in NC, not NY. Maybe gave Ellis something to wonder about, huh?

Oh, Monica, you have me laughing here! NY, NC, MM, MR.

The best part of this whole thing is that I have never introduced myself to Ellis .... talked with him a bunch of times over the years, but am quite sure my name has never come up. After the show at Somerville Theater, I was in line to have him sign a CD for my nephew. When I got up to Ellis, he said "I'm sorry, but what's your name again?" Poor guy probably thinks he's losing his memory!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you fine people!

Monica R.

Wow--
Now I feel embarrassed  I didn't realize that people were waiting on me for a description of the show. I have been swamped with college work and finals are settling in quickly. The good news is that I will have plenty of time for the board starting in 2 weeks...

PS -- the blog said it better than I would have!
